Archimedes Banya is a Russian-style bathhouse on the India Basin waterfront, built around the heat-and-cold cycle: hot rooms, a cold plunge pool, and a rooftop deck for cooling off between rounds. The design draws on several bathing traditions at once, pairing Russian banya with elements of Greek laconica, Turkish hammam and German thermen, and the facility includes a café and full-service spa for those who want treatments beyond the baths themselves.

The signature offering is Venik Platza, a treatment using a leafy bundle of birch, oak, eucalyptus or juniper twigs for full-body exfoliation — it's described as the centerpiece service and runs every day of the week. Beyond that there are four total treatments on the menu. Aromatherapy sessions are scheduled at set times (3pm, 7pm and 9pm on weekdays; 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9pm on weekends).

This is strictly an adults-only space: everyone must be 18 or older with valid government ID, and a banya pass is required to get in. The venue is clothing-optional, and it runs separate single-gender nights — Women's Night on the first Tuesday of the month and Men's Night on the third Tuesday, both from 5 to 10pm — alongside a mixed happy hour from noon to 4pm on weekdays. Regular hours run noon to 11pm Monday, Wednesday through Friday, and 10am to 11pm on weekends; it's closed Tuesdays outside of the gender-specific nights. It's a solo-friendly, no-couples-treatment setup, good for someone looking to just steam, plunge and reset rather than book a spa day with a partner.
