Asheville Salt Cave & Spa sits on N. Liberty St. in the Claxton Community area and centers on a halotherapy room built with roughly 30 tons of pink salt sourced from Poland, the Dead Sea, the Himalayas and the Celtic Sea. The space is kept at the temperature and humidity of a natural salt cave, and sessions take place in reclining loungers or on floor cushions with ambient music playing in the background.

There are a few ways to use the cave: a silent "Community" session alongside other guests, a private session for a group or couple, or a couples massage performed inside the cave itself. Outside the cave, the Healing Arts Room offers therapeutic massage, hot Himalayan salt stone work, side-by-side couples massage, an aromatherapy salt body scrub, and a foot exfoliation treatment. In total the spa lists six treatments, and every massage service finishes with a touch of salt worked into the routine.

A hammam steam bath rounds out the facility list alongside the salt cave and a relaxation lounge. Reservations are required for treatments, though walk-ins are accepted for availability; day passes in the typical sense aren't offered here since cave access is booked as a session. The minimum age is 12, and sessions in the community cave require guests to be able to sit still for the duration. This isn't an adults-only spot, and it suits solo visitors, couples, and families with older kids alike.

Hours run Monday and Tuesday 11 to 5, Thursday and Friday 10 to 7, Saturday 10 to 8, and Sunday 10 to 5; the spa is closed Wednesdays. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled start time.
