Curegarden Open Air Bath is an outdoor-only onsen on Yunoshima in Gero, about a 12-minute walk from JR Gero Station. The water comes from Gero's shared network of twelve hot-spring sources, an alkaline simple spring with a pH of 9.1 that cools from 55.6°C at the source to a bathing temperature of about 42.2°C.

Bathing is split by gender, with a rock-built outdoor tub as the centerpiece alongside a cascade bath, a three-temperature bath, a box steam room and a bubble bath. The women's side has a roof over roughly two-thirds of the bathing area, while the men's side has a pavilion roof; washing stations on both sides are covered and fitted with showers, shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

The indoor locker room is free to use, with coin-free lockers and free hairdryers. Towel rental isn't offered, but towels (250 yen) and bath towels (600 yen) are sold on site. A rest area has massage chairs and vending machines, including the facility's own cider, though full admission is charged even for guests who only want to use the rest area rather than bathe. Outside food is allowed but not inside the locker room or bathing area, and cashless payment isn't accepted yet. Stairs connect the different sections, so visitors with mobility concerns should take care. Parking is available.

Admission is 800 yen for adults, 400 yen for elementary school children and 200 yen for infants. The bath is open daily from 8:00 to 20:45, with last entry at 20:00, and closed on Thursdays. Combination tickets covering other nearby Gero bathing facilities can be purchased at the front desk.
