Meridian Day Spa

Meridian Day Spa sits on the second floor of the Commerce Hotel, part of the Commerce Casino complex a few minutes from Downtown LA and the Citadel Outlets. The 8,000-square-foot facility centers on saunas, steam rooms, a relaxation lounge and jacuzzis, and it's open to walk-ins with a day pass rather than requiring a treatment booking.

The treatment menu is short but varied: the signature meridian fusion massage is built around a custom plan worked out with a therapist and comes in 25-, 50- and 80-minute lengths, running from $68 to $198 depending on length and membership status. Other options include a pre-natal massage (not available during the first trimester), deep heat therapy using heated buckwheat packs, and a hot stone massage. Two dedicated couples rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis for shared sessions.

A membership program runs $98 a month on a four-month commitment, bundling one 50-minute fusion massage per month with member pricing on everything else, including upgrades to longer or specialty sessions.

The spa is open Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 8pm, and closed Tuesday through Thursday. Appointments need a credit card to hold the reservation, and the cancellation policy requires 24 hours' notice to avoid a charge.
