Ovaverva is St. Moritz's indoor pool and spa center, sitting right on the cross-country trail, bike route and hiking path in St. Moritz-Bad. The hall houses four pools and three water slides plus an outdoor pool, while a separate 1,620-square-metre wellness zone holds the sauna facilities. A fitness center and a bike-and-Nordic-sports center share the same building, and large glass fronts open the interior up to views of the Engadin mountains and valley light. A bistro with a terrace serves fresh menus and snacks throughout the day, open to anyone, not just swimmers.
The name draws on local bathing history: St. Moritz's spa culture is said to trace back thousands of years, and Ovaverva, which translates to "living water," positions itself as a modern continuation of that tradition rather than a historic bathhouse itself.
Day passes are sold on-site with no advance booking required, and walk-ins are welcome. Minimum age is 6; children under 6 get in free, and those between 6 and 15 pay a children's rate. Inside, purchases run through a cashless chip wristband rather than cash at each counter, with a spending cap of CHF 250 for adults and CHF 50 for children, settled before you leave. Entry itself can be paid in Swiss francs, euros, or by card, including Twint. Robes, towels and swimwear are available to rent for a deposit charged to the wristband, and lockers in the changing rooms also operate off the wristband rather than coins.
