Red Square Spa

Red Square Spa, also known locally as Chicago Bath House, sits at 1914 W. Division St. in the West Town/Wicker Park area and has operated as a bathhouse since 1906, making it the oldest one left in Chicago. A 2011 ownership change brought a full renovation, keeping the traditional structure while adding newer amenities.

The core of the experience is the bathhouse itself: steam room, sauna and a relaxation lounge for cooling off between rounds. Beyond that, the building houses a restaurant and full bar serving Russian-style food, plus tanning, scrub treatments and other salon services, so a visit can stretch from a quick sweat session to a full afternoon.

It's set up for walk-ins, with day passes available and no requirement to be a hotel guest. The space is adults only. Hours run late into the evening every day — 10am to 11pm Monday through Friday, and 7am to 11pm on weekends — which makes it workable for both morning soaks and after-work visits.
