At a glance

Soul Care Studio + Sauna sits on Anacapa Street in downtown Santa Barbara, across from the county courthouse, and works on a simple premise: book a private cabin and cycle through heat, cold, and stillness on your own schedule. The main cabin is a dry infrared sauna built for one to six people, ADA accessible, where guests can sit or stand through the heat. A second private room houses a halotherapy salt setup, also sized for up to six and wheelchair accessible.

For the cold side, there's a private cold-water bath and a dedicated ice bath, both aimed at cutting muscle inflammation and aiding circulation after the heat. A Somadome pod rounds out the offering — a cocoon-like enclosure for guided meditation layered with sound and light, meant for focus and stress relief rather than athletic recovery alone.

The studio runs on a reservation system, though walk-ins are accepted when space allows; given the private-cabin format, booking ahead is the more reliable route. It's set up for solo visits, couples, or small groups since the cabins hold multiple people at once. The space is non-toxic by design — filtered water, chemical-free cleaning, and personal-care products sold on-site follow the same standard. Soul Care also shares its building with Nikki's Salon, an organic hair-care studio, so a sauna session and a haircut can be booked under one roof.

Hours run 10am to 6pm most days, 9am to 5pm Saturday, and the studio is closed Mondays. Parking is a short walk away at the Lot 7 public garage on Figueroa Street, between Anacapa and State.
