Spa Alila sits inside the Ventana resort along Highway 1, offering massage and facial treatments built around local botanicals, oils, and bodywork techniques drawn from various traditions. Private suites and a relaxation lounge look out toward the coast, and outdoor cabanas are set up specifically for couples who want their treatment done in the open air among the redwoods.

Access is adults-only, with a minimum age of 18, and every visit runs by advance reservation. A limited number of day passes go to non-hotel guests, but groups are capped at four people, so this isn't a walk-in or large-party setup. Appointments should be booked ahead by phone or email, since availability is limited.

Beyond the treatment rooms, guests can use a fitness center that stays open around the clock, plus a yoga space and guided redwood walks or hikes on the property. The spa operates daily from 10am to 6pm. Prices run at the luxury end of the scale and include a 22% service charge; cancellations inside 24 hours are charged at 50%, and no-shows are billed in full. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early, since services start and end on schedule regardless.
