The Thermal Bathhouse at the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa has operated since 1924, drawing on Hot Springs' natural mineral water for its core treatment: a private mineral bath followed by a dry sauna session, a warm mineral-soaked towel wrap, and a finish at the cooling station. The original tubs and tilework remain part of the experience, giving the space a sense of its age rather than a renovated, modern feel.

The signature Thermal Mineral Bath runs 60 minutes for $45 and is open to walk-ins based on availability, though calling ahead is an option. Longer packages layer on massage and facial add-ons, ranging from a 2-hour bath-and-massage combo at $115 up to a 3-hour package with bath, massage and facial for $175. Standalone 30- and 60-minute massages (Swedish-style, deep tissue, targeted, and reflexology) run $70, available Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Facial treatments span $60 to $125 depending on length and added extras like LED light therapy.

The bathhouse also books party packages for groups, covering birthdays or bridal parties, with bath salts and party room access included and optional add-ons like a mimosa bar or charcuterie board priced per group size.

Access is limited to guests age 10 and over, and couples treatments aren't offered as a joint booking format here. Hours run 8am to 3pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and 8am to 5pm Friday and Saturday. With 12 treatments on the menu and a day-pass-style walk-in policy, it's a straightforward stop for anyone visiting downtown Hot Springs who wants to try the thermal water baths the city is known for, without the retreat-level commitment of a full resort spa day.
