Sante Spa

Sante Spa sits inside the Riviera Palm Springs hotel and bills itself as the largest resort spa in town, with 18 treatment rooms and separate men's and women's locker rooms, each with a steam room. Guests can settle into the co-ed Blue Haven relaxation lounge before or after treatments, using the Watsu pool, jacuzzi and waterfall pool (swimsuits required in the water features).

The treatment menu covers massages, body therapies, facials, IV drip therapy and packages, plus a full-service salon for hair and nails. Couples massages run in private duet rooms, with Swedish, therapeutic and deep-tissue options priced per person. The signature Avocado Pear Refresher is listed at $300. IV drip options range from $185 for basic rehydration to $240 for an antioxidant-focused blend, and warm stone massage is offered seasonally from October through April.

This is an adults-only spa — you must be 18 or older to book a treatment. Cell phones stay in your locker rather than in the spa itself, and swimwear is expected in the whirlpool and waterfall pool area. Arrive an hour before your first appointment to make use of the lounge (15 minutes early if you're the day's first booking), since treatments start on time regardless of when you show up. Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged in full.

Local residents get 15% off any 60- or 90-minute service Monday through Friday, and the spa also puts together bachelorette and bachelor party packages with a 60-minute service menu. Valet parking is validated for spa guests.
