Spa by JW sits on the fifth floor of the JW Marriott Austin, a few steps from the hotel's rooftop pool. The spa runs eight treatments, including a robotic massage option called Aescape that uses a 3D body scan to tailor pressure and pace, alongside more traditional facials and bodywork using products from Hydrafacial, HydroPeptide, Dr. Gross and Coola.
Facilities include a locker room, a relaxation lounge for guests to wait with tea or champagne, dedicated treatment rooms, and a heated rooftop pool. Spa guests get complimentary pool access Monday through Thursday. Couples treatments are available for those booking together, and the minimum age for the spa areas is 16.
An appointment is required - walk-ins aren't the norm here, and online booking isn't offered, so a phone call to confirm and pay is the standard route in. The spa asks that mobile phones stay away and prohibits recording to keep the space quiet; it's also smoke-free. Towels, slippers and basic amenities are provided. Cancellations inside 24 hours of the scheduled appointment incur a full cancellation fee, so it's worth locking in plans before calling.
Hours run Sunday through Wednesday from 8:30am to 6pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 8:30am to 8pm. There's no restaurant on-site. Parking is handled through the hotel - complimentary valet entry is off the JW drive on E 2nd Street downtown.
