Spa Esmeralda

Spa Esmeralda sits inside the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, part of the greater Palm Springs area, and runs as a full-service hotel spa open to day visitors as well as hotel guests. The space covers 13,000 square feet with 11 indoor treatment rooms, outdoor cabanas, an indoor couples' suite, steam rooms, a spa garden with waterfall jacuzzi, and separate men's and women's relaxation lounges.

Treatments lean on desert and native ingredients, with the Desert Date & Citrus Body Scrub as the signature offering. The menu covers massages (including couples and pregnancy options), facials, body scrubs and wraps, eye treatments, scalp and hair treatments, and a therapy bath. The Renew Recovery Lounge adds muscle recovery, travel recovery and sleep recovery treatments using newer technology, and there's a golf recovery angle with aroma stone therapy and deep-pressure massage aimed at easing post-round tension.

A café-style spa dining menu is available, with salads, portobello burgers, kombucha, CBD wellness shots and seasonal fruit. Day pass access runs 10am to 6pm and typically includes use of the steam rooms, lounges and the resort's pool. Access is adults-only (18+), reservations are required, and walk-ins aren't accepted. Standard hours are 10am-6pm daily, though seasonal hours and closures apply in summer months, so it's worth checking current scheduling before booking. Couples treatments and spa packages, both individual and shared, are also on offer.
