The Boilerhouse is a male-only gay sauna and bathhouse on Crane Lane in Temple Bar, Dublin, open to adults 18 and over. It's a walk-in venue — no booking required — built around a hydro pool, dry sauna, exterior sauna, steam room, wet floor area, and a corridor and play/swing area for guests who want more than a soak.
Standard entrance is €27 for 8 hours, with a €23 student rate and a €69 multiple-entry option. Private cabins can be rented separately: basic day cabins run €50-75 depending on day, and overnight cabins on Friday and Saturday cost €125 (with a non-refundable €50 deposit), including bedding, towels, toothbrush and toothpaste, check-in from 15:00 and check-out at noon the next day. Locker and towel are included with entry; flip-flops are optional, and extras like douches and aromas carry small additional fees.
Hours run Monday to Wednesday 13:00-02:00, Thursday 13:00-04:00, and then continuously from Friday 13:00 through Monday 04:00 on weekends. It's closed Saturday and Sunday as standalone days since the weekend block runs through from Friday. A smoking area is provided on the first floor; vaping is not permitted indoors. There's a coffee bar on site, and the venue runs weekly free rapid HIV testing with MPower and a monthly PrEP clinic in partnership with St. James's Hospital. Transgender men are welcome, provided they are 18+ with photo ID listing their gender as male. There's no expectation to participate in anything — many visitors just use the sauna, steam room and lounge areas and leave it at that.
