The Spa at Desert Springs

The Spa at Desert Springs sits inside the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, just outside Palm Springs. It's a large resort spa — 38,000 square feet with 47 treatment rooms — built for guests who want a full day of soaking, sweating and lounging rather than a quick massage.

A day pass gets a locker, robe and slippers plus access to whirlpools, eucalyptus steam rooms, Finnish saunas, separate lavender and citrus hammams for women and men, and a 25-yard heated outdoor saltwater lap pool. The 4,000-square-foot fitness center runs Technogym equipment and Peloton bikes. The co-ed Wellness Lounge adds Mind Sync chairs for guided relaxation, Zero Gravity wave loungers and heated Ceragem massage chairs.

For treatments, the signature offering is Couples Revive, a two-hour spa suite experience with side-by-side massages, a shared mineral bubble bath, cooling facial masks and Champagne. Couples can also book the Sanctuary Suite, which comes with its own entrance, treatment rooms, courtyard, whirlpool and a private butler. Afterward the Spa Bistro serves sandwiches, wraps and Champagne, and the on-site Spa Shop stocks skincare and lifestyle brands including Eminence, LEEF Organics and Lululemon.

The spa is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's positioned as a luxury property, with couples and families both catered for, though some access may be tied to hotel stays alongside the day-pass option — worth confirming when booking.
