Wellness riviera

Wellness Riviera is the nudist sauna and pool complex at Terme Čatež, spread over close to 1,000 square metres and open only to those 15 and older. The lineup covers a salt steam sauna, a Turkish steam room, two Finnish saunas and an infrared sauna, plus a whirlpool, a cooling pool and a large warm massage and relaxation pool.

Outside, a herb garden and a lounge terrace give space to sit between sauna rounds, and an ice fountain offers the classic cold shock after the heat. Inside, intimate cabins with heated benches, hot and cold foot baths, a fireplace corner and a tea and body-scrub nook round out the slower, ritual side of the visit. As is standard at FKK-style sauna centers, guests move through the spaces without swimwear, and towels are used for sitting and lying down.

This is a walk-in facility with day passes sold on-site or online, so no overnight stay at the resort is required to use it. Staff and signage operate in Slovenian and English, along with Croatian, Serbian, Italian and German, which is useful given the international mix of visitors to Terme Čatež. The center is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00.

Because the whole area is adults-only and clothing-optional, it suits people who want a quieter, more concentrated sauna session rather than a family water-park day — that side of the resort exists separately, elsewhere on the property. Bring at least two large towels and a robe, and expect the usual sauna etiquette around quiet voices, no reading material in the sauna, and short rest periods between rounds.
