Beauty Kliniek Aromatherapy Day Spa sits on Governor Drive in University City, a few minutes from UTC. Founder Linda Anne Kahn opened the business more than 25 years ago and still runs it, with a team of estheticians and massage therapists handling treatments.

The core menu covers facials and skincare (customized for concerns like fine lines or dehydration), massage therapy, and lymphatic therapy, including manual lymphatic drainage for post-surgical recovery, lymphedema and lipedema. The spa also builds custom "Day Escapes" that combine skin and body treatments for a longer visit. Beauty Kliniek sells its own line, Varenya Essentials, organic essential-oil skincare products used in some treatments and available for purchase.

It's set up as a classic day spa rather than a resort or bathhouse: no pools or thermal circuits, just treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge where clients can settle in before or after a session. The spa is adults-only and sees a fair number of couples booking joint appointments. A monthly membership program is available for clients who visit regularly, on top of standard walk-in and reservation-based pricing.

Pricing falls in the moderate range for the San Diego market. The spa is closed Mondays; on other days it opens between 8 and 9 a.m. and runs until 5 to 7 p.m. depending on the day, with Saturday being the earliest-opening day and Thursday and midweek evenings running latest. Reservations are generally expected for treatments, though walk-ins are accepted when space allows.
