Opal Spa Sunset Key

The Spa at Sunset Key is the on-site wellness facility for Sunset Key Cottages, a private island reached from Key West's historic district at 245 Front St. It's a small, quiet operation geared toward hotel guests and anyone booking a treatment on the adjacent island, with a relaxation lounge as the main amenity rather than a full wet-area circuit.

The treatment menu centers on three signature services: a full-body massage adjusted to pressure and preference, an exfoliating mineral scrub finished with a warm lavender application, and a HydraFacial series for the skin. Robes and sandals are provided, and modest draping is used throughout, though guests can opt for a bathing suit or undergarment if preferred. Therapists can tailor pressure, music, temperature and conversation level during any session.

This is an adults-only space — the minimum age is 16 — and it falls into the upscale price tier, with a 20% service charge automatically added to listed treatment prices. Appointments require a reservation, and the spa recommends booking at least two weeks ahead for the widest choice of treatment times. Guests are asked to arrive 15–20 minutes early for check-in, and cancellations need 24 hours' notice to avoid a full charge.

Hours run 9am to 4pm every day of the week. Phones are discouraged inside, jewelry and valuables are best left behind, and the spa suggests avoiding food for an hour and alcohol on treatment days. A retail area sells the products used in treatments, with gift cards redeemable across Opal Collection properties.
