Spa Aqua Terra

Spa Aqua Terra is a day spa in Dax built around a simple combination: thermal water and body care. The wet area covers a pool, sauna, hammam and Norwegian bath (bain norvégien), with a relaxation lounge and a tisanerie for tea afterward. Walk-ins are welcome and a day pass runs around 8.50, covering entry to the pool, hammam, sauna and Norwegian bath during posted hours.

The spa is open Monday through Friday from 3pm to 9pm, and Saturday from 3pm to 8pm — though Saturday access is reserved for hotel guests only. It's closed on Sundays. Pool hours run on a separate, more limited schedule within those windows, so it's worth checking the posted pool planning before a visit, especially if swimming is the main draw.

Beyond the wet area, the spa offers a menu of 15 treatments spanning facials, body treatments and massages, with staff tailoring facials to skin type (mature, oily or dehydrated). The signature treatment, Instant Tonic, is priced around $70. Couples treatments are available, and the whole spa can be privatized for events or private sessions, with several formulas depending on what's wanted — straightforward relaxation, food pairings or custom requests.

Aquabike and aquagym sessions (45 minutes each) run Monday to Friday during spa hours and are included in the entry price, though booking ahead is required and session credits are valid for a year. The spa suits solo visitors, couples and families, and no specific hotel stay is required to use it, aside from the Saturday exception.
